Issue 5 of Twiga, the inflight magazine of Air Tanzania, is now available to view online. It arrives amid the global Covid-19 outbreak which has forced the airline to temporarily cancel its international flights. All its domestic flights continue, however, and the magazine even reveals the launch of a new route this month linking Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro and Mwanza airports. Such undaunted Tanzanian vision is echoed in many of the features within the magazine with stories of homegrown ventures – such as Dar’s handcrafts hub Make It Matter and a trio of collectives of disabled artists – that foster creativity in challenging circumstances.
